Robin E Roberts
Robin is an Associate Professor, the research stream lead for agribusiness and trade in the Griffith Asia Institute, and an academic in the Griffith Business School, Griffith University. She is an internationally recognised scholar working at the nexus of applied industry research that has demonstrated impact in the Asia-Pacific region.
Before entering university, Robin had over 25 years as a practitioner in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector working in domestic and international markets with responsibilities for new product development, market entry, trade and business intelligence.
Her career has been devoted to identifying opportunities to advance food trade and market insights for industry and communities in the region. Her research interests include mapping export opportunities, profiling markets, value chain research, consumer insights and new product development. Robin has understanding and extensive experience in South East Asia, which makes her a valuable expert in the field of agribusiness. She is the author of a number of books and book chapters, and has over 40 academic and industry publications covering agribusiness trade and consumer insights.
As a passionate sports fan, Robin played and held administration roles including President of the Brisbane Womens Hockey Association, one of Australia’s largest all-female community sporting groups at the time.
Robin has a Master of Business Administration, Master of International Business (Honours) and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Griffith University.
