Greater economic focus for RDAs following national review

RDA committees will have a stronger focus on supporting the economic growth of their regions following a national review of the RDA network.

The Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Warren Truss laid out his new vision for RDAs at the national SEGRA (Sustainable Growth for Regional Australia) conference in Alice Springs earlier this month.

The focus will now be firmly on driving economic development and enhancing regional comparative advantages, based on consultation and engagement with community leaders.
