Kathlene Jones is the Founder and CEO of the Prader-Willi Research Foundation Australia, where she drives breakthrough medical and health research to transform life for people with Prader-Willi Syndrome and their families. Her governance and strategic leadership spans both not-for-profit and corporate sectors.

Kathlene has extensive experience in strategy, having previously worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and then General Manager, Strategy and Transformation at UnitingCare Queensland and Australia Post. Prior to this she worked around the world (London, Beijing, Hong Kong, Sydney) in marketing strategy and research, business development and as an economist.

Kathlene brings hands-on experience in regional economic development, having worked in economics and industry development for the Queensland South West Strategy and the CHOICES regional strategy (Far North Queensland). Following this she worked in the Queensland Government Office in London, focused on trade and investment.

She has an MBA (Dean’s Honours List) from Melbourne Business School and Columbia Graduate School of Business and graduated first in class with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Economics) from the University of Queensland.
