
Terri Cooper is a dedicated small business advocate with more than two decades of experience supporting business owners, chambers of commerce, and regional communities across Queensland. After 15 years as a small business owner, Terri developed a deep understanding of the pressures faced by business operators — insight that has shaped her commitment to helping businesses overcome challenges, build resilience, and thrive.
Since 2017, Terri has held key roles across economic development, government liaison, mental health support for small business, and statewide chamber engagement. Most recently working with chambers of commerce across the state, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and leading initiatives including a formalised Disaster Response program during major weather events. She has played a pivotal role in reactivating chambers, securing new partnerships, advocating for small business, and contributing to government submissions and inquiries.
Terri’s career also includes positions with the Queensland Small Business Commissioner’s Office, Brisbane Economic Development Agency, Brisbane City Council, Business Chamber Queensland and Beyond Blue’s NewAccess program for small business owners.
A committed community contributor, Terri has served on the boards of Bravehearts, Regional Development Australia Logan & Redlands, is President of Brisbane Southside Chamber of Commerce, and is a Queensland Day Award recipient for service to the community.
