RDA Brisbane’s Strategic Plan 2026–2030 sets a clear direction for our work over the next four years and outlines the priorities that will guide our contribution to regional Queensland.
The Plan recognises the vital contribution Queensland’s regions make to the state and national economy, and the opportunities and challenges they face as they grow and evolve. It provides a framework for RDA Brisbane to connect government, industry and regional communities, amplify regional voices, align investment and advocate for the issues that matter most.
Our Four Strategic Pillars
The Plan focuses RDA Brisbane’s advocacy, collaboration and regional development efforts around four priority areas:
Leverage Brisbane 2032 for Regional Benefit
Ensuring regional Queensland shares in the economic, workforce, tourism, procurement and infrastructure opportunities created by the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Advance Sovereign Capability
Strengthening regional contributions to defence, advanced manufacturing, critical minerals, energy, water and national supply chains.
Enable Infrastructure and Connectivity
Advocating for infrastructure and connectivity that supports regional productivity, investment, liveability and access to markets and services.
Grow Thriving Regional Communities
Supporting place-based approaches that build strong, diverse and liveable communities, skilled workforces, economic opportunity and greater Indigenous business participation.
