RDA update: Meetings with PM and elected representatives

RDA Brisbane CEO Margaret Blade regularly speaks with elected representatives about how RDA is furthering regional economic development and measures to assist small business, including the RDA's delivery of the ASBAS Digital Solutions program in Queensland.

Margaret attended a community lunch after the Federal Cabinet meeting in Brisbane last month, and took the opportunity to present the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers with RDA Brisbane’s Brisbane Global collateral promoting the Brisbane region’s growth and innovative industry sectors for trade and investment.

Small Business Leaders

Margaret also attended a small business leaders roundtable discussion (pictured above) with Senator Barry O’Sullivan and Michael Hart MP, along with Margaret Aspin, Coordinator of the EXPRESSWAY Network Forum, Terri Cooper, the Brisbane City Council's Small Business Liaison Manager, Liz Parker representing 10,000 virtual assistants who run their businesses from their own homes, and Kevin Gammie who runs the Brisbane Small Business Facebook page. Topics discussed included supporting regional and city based small businesses, latest tax improvements and other legislative changes, regional infrastructure and energy issues.
