World leading agriculture conference returning to Brisbane in November
TropAg2017, the world’s leading tropical agriculture conference, will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on November 20-22.
Following on from the highly successful inaugural event in 2015, TropAg2017 will again be hosted by Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI) at the University of Queensland (UQ). The city of Brisbane and state of Queensland is home to some of the world's best tropical agriculture scientists as well as producers applying the latest technologies. RDA Brisbane applauds QAFFI and UQ for taking a leadership role in this important sector on the global stage.
TropAg2017’s conference theme is High impact science to nourish the world. The program has been developed by an international advisory committee representing over 10 different countries, the members of which are all world leaders in their respective fields. The TropAg2017 program comprises a multitude of concurrent symposia, specialising in scientific advances in agriculture, animal, horticulture, crop and food research, and will again feature a number of world-leading keynote speakers, with many opportunities for sponsors.
RDA Brisbane will host a concurrent meeting on the last day for SEQ Food cluster and network coordinators and their leadership teams. The aim will be to kickstart an initiative for stronger communications and collaboration across SEQ, whilst hearing the TropAg conference highlights and discussing how the emerging science and technologies can be communicated to industry for adoption.
