The Australian Government is seeking highly-motivated leaders with vision, drive and a passion for regional development, to volunteer to Chair Regional Development Australia (RDA) Committees across Australia.

As Chair, you will lead your RDA, working closely with the Committee, Federal, State / Territory and Local Governments, and key business and industry organisations to directly inform, support and promote the growth and development of your state, territory or region.

Applications are sought from business and community leaders who have strong advocacy and negotiation skills and a proven track record of achieving outcomes in complex environments.

The successful candidate must be capable of leading the RDA Brisbane Committee, setting the strategic direction and achieving outcomes whilst operating within an effective governance framework. The appointment term is on a voluntary basis for 4.5 years. The role is suited to business/industry or community leaders with a regional or state-wide focus, expertise and a desire to generate regional economic opportunities.
