Building Better Regions Fund Round 6 now open
Round Six of the Australian Government's Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) is now open.
The BBRF supports economic and social infrastructure for the long-term benefit of regional and remote communities. Round 6 will help fund the infrastructure and services that communities need to create jobs and help them rebound strongly from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Funding of $250 million under Round 6 takes the Government’s total investment through the BBRF to $1.38 billion.
Projects will be funded under two streams:
The Infrastructure Projects Stream supports the construction of new infrastructure, or the upgrade or extension of existing infrastructure.
Grants of $20,000 to $10 million are available to cover 50% or more of eligible project costs.
The Community Investments Stream funds community development activities including, but not limited to, new or expanded local events, strategic regional plans, leadership and capability building activities.
Grants of $5000 to $1 million are available to cover 50% or more of eligible project costs.
For both streams, projects must be located in a eligible location (regional and remote areas).
Who can apply?
An incorporated not-for-profit, local government agency or body or non-distributing co-operative.
Applications close on Thursday, 10 February 2022.
