RDA Brisbane Temporary Consulting Contract - Request for Expressions of Interest

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Brisbane is looking for a senior executive-level business consultant to lead a restructuring of the organisation as it seeks to rebuild.

Timeframe: ASAP for a period of 3-6 months – need to be able to start immediately

Hours of Work: Must be flexible and available for up to 15 hours a week

Reporting to: The Board of RDA Brisbane

Resources to assist: Operations Consultant, External accountant

Location: Preferably in Brisbane, but not strictly essential

What needs to be done

RDAB requires a complete overhaul, including:

• Rebuilding the Operations of the organisation from scratch, including developing policies and procedures, and rebuilding the accounting function and banking, HR, Board management and any other required operational areas
• Developing a Business Plan and Budget to meet the timelines of the Department under the RDA Funding Agreement
• Liaison with the Regional RDAs on a range of short-term issues to assist them and progress the activities of RDA Brisbane
• Assist in recruiting a full Board and CEO for the organisation
• Any other tasks agreed by the Board to manage and rebuild RDA Brisbane in the short term

Skills Required

• High-level experience at restructuring businesses
• High level management, financial, legal and corporate governance experience
• Understanding of how RDAs work, preferably having been a CEO or Chair of an RDA
